Once upon a time, in the early 1980s to be exact, two little Welsh ladies decided that Dubai’s dinner tables weren’t pretty enough, its cupboards weren’t full enough and it’s teacups just weren’t good enough. And so, the two little ladies did something about it. They went back to Wales & bought lots of beautiful plates, gorgeous teacups & beautiful baking dishes for their friends in Dubai who were sad that they didn’t have any lovely plates to eat their cake off. Word spread and soon the two little ladies were inundated with other delightful little ladies wanting more plates & teacups & dishes. Their husbands told them that their dinner tasted delicious when eaten off those beautiful Welsh plates! Their children said that even peas tasted OK when served from a beautiful bowl covered in flowers! Eventually, the two little ladies had to open a shop because they couldn’t keep inviting the whole of Dubai around for tea & biscuits & cucumber sandwiches to see their selection of beautiful plates! And so, with a little hard work & elbow grease Harvest Home was born.The two little ladies worked like eager beavers day in & day out. They loved their shop so much that they brought more & more beautiful things from all over the world to their little haven in Dubai… soon, the shop was full of gifts & glasses & mugs & knick-knacks from other far-off places like America, France, Germany, Australia & South Africa … and people loved them!
